Today we’ve delved into the archives to bring you one of our favourite real weddings. We featured it in issue 4 and it appeared again in our special issue. It’s timeless!
Jon and Pippa Cooke from London tied the knot with an intimate party of fifty at her parents’ house in South West France.
“The embroidery inspiration on my Valentino inspired dress came from my favourite flowers and plants – Lavender and Wisteria”
“A lot of the props were bought from the French brocantes, chandeliers from ebay and the majority from our own home!”
“We used old vintage medicine bottles which we put dried flowers in, candles, mirrors, photos, deck chairs, hay bales, sun loungers and festoon lights”
“We drank out of copper mosco mule cups with floral straws”
“A local restaurant did all the food, we had pate, beef, and Lavender crème brulee”
“We built a secret den out of a forest of bamboo at the end of the garden. We made it into a lounging area with old chairs, a stags head, smoking pipes, antique furniture and rugs. Here we left a Polaroid camera. The pictures are amazing!!”
