Thank you so much to everyone who came along to Margot’s Wedding Fair at The Worthing Dome on Sunday! We had a blast… Nicola Kirk came along and captured the essence of the day with her beautiful photography.
Despite rain in the morning while we were unloading, the sun put in an appearance for our visitors from 11am. We had lots of cool customers (literally), exactly the type of folk we wanted to appeal to (we noticed A LOT of leopard print!) We gave away all our bridal bags loaded with goodies, we sold plenty of copies of the special issue, we loved seeing everyone proudly strut downstairs sporting their flower crowns after their workshop with Holly Florist… Oh and no one told me about the candy floss cocktail party Delphine Couture was hosting for attendees of her custom dress workshop! I’d have been up there like a shot!
We forgot to put an ‘Eat Me’ sign by the donut wall (from Black Diamond Weddings) and everyone was too polite to get stuck in (last time we had a pegboard sign that said ‘help yourself, donut be shy’, see what we did there?) We had so many leftovers so I dished them out to the cinema queue before we left!
As usual I came home with silly photo booth photos. Photobot’s booth is really good fun; colourful and crazy while, in contrast, Foto Noir were capturing sophisticated black and white images from their vintage-style wooden booth.
I was flipping pooped after a 4am start but it was brilliant to see everyone and I can’t wait to do it all over again! I’m hoping to be back at the Dome in September (date TBC), in the meantime I’m hosting an outdoor wedding fair with Kissing Gate Events on Sunday 21st July. Think marquee, bell tents, glitter, flower crowns, horse box bar and festival-style entertainment. Margot’s Outdoor Extravaganza!
Exhibitor enquiries welcome (see Fair page for info and links).
