Hampshire Wedding Venue – The Boat Shed

Ok so we’re nearly into June and this summer is looking VERY different to the summer I imagined. I think it goes without saying that everyone’s summer/year is looking very different to the one they imagined. My heart goes out to everyone who has had to postpone/cancel their wedding. The thing about the Covid-19 outbreak is how everyone’s been affected in their own way and I just hope those planning 2020 weddings have managed to put a suitable plan in place. We don’t know yet how it’s all going to affect the wedding industry in the long term but it’s…

We took a leisurely walk around Regents Park and then hired a pedalo. Sam climbed onto the back of the boat and wobbled down onto one knee….

Styled Shoot – The Boat Shed @ Salt

If you haven’t heard about my new venue project you must have been living under a rock for the last couple of weeks… but in case you haven’t, here’s the news. I’m working with the owners of Wicor Marine in Portchester, Hampshire to open their boat shed for weddings. I’ve been shouting about The Boat Shed project from the rooftops on Facebook and Instagram and have announced we’re launching with a wedding fair on 8th March 2020. And holy moly has there been a lot of interest in the fair! A week after announcing the date we’re two thirds full….

The Boat Shed @ Salt – Featured Venue

Have you ever been to Salt Café in Portchester, Hampshire? It’s a destination café, the kind of place you hear about on the grapevine, pay them a visit, become a regular, tell your friends, and so it goes on. It’s not somewhere you pass by, it’s down a remote lane… in the yacht haven of a boat yard. So, what’s so special about it? You can sit out on the jetty watching the marine life, enjoying delicious coffee with your breakfast/brunch/lunch. It’s the little touches that make it so special – the basket of hot water bottles if the day…
