Pops of Pink @ The Giraffe Shed

The force that is Sally Gallis, stylist and planner of Luna & the Lane, has recently been involved with two styled shoots at The Giraffe Shed. Both had pink elements so I wanted to combine them into an inspirational post to show ideas for pink styling details. The super-fun, throw-all-the-pink-at-it, bubble gum pink shoot, complete with disco balls and power florals was named I Believe in Pink. The bold, edgy styling elements formed the subject for a photographers workshop at the venue. As much pink as you can throw a stick at. The shoot with more muted, contemporary elements was…

Styled Shoot – Edgy, Intimate, Sustainable

Earlier this year Jude (stylist and venue owner of Wickerwood Farm) and Anna (floral designer from Tales from Apple Tree House) hatched a plan for an inspirational bridal shoot. They wanted to focus on intimate weddings (sign of the times) with an emphasis on sustainability, a subject close to both their hearts. The concept of the shoot was to depict the ever-changing seasons using dried flowers from Anna’s East Sussex cutting garden, as well as Jude’s interpretation of ‘festive luxe’. It shows how a smaller, intimate venue can be cleverly used to create a mood using natural, organic materials. The…

Citrus Love Styled Shoot at Manor Barn

Today photographer Masha Unwerth shares the inspiration behind her zingy late summer shoot… This shoot was inspired by the citrus colour palette and summer Italian heat! With the end of the summer approaching I felt mesmerised by the amazing weather we still had and wanted to create something bold to inspire brides-to-be. It was important to keep this colourful shoot bold and crisp. To empower couples wanting to incorporate the vibrant colour into their wedding design. As a photographer I associate the vibrant colours of citrus fruits with Tuscan sun, which led me to the overall theme, Citrus Love. We…

The Boat Shed – London Warehouse Vibes by the Sea

Blog posts have been boat shed-heavy lately… but that’s just because we’ve got so much great content at the moment! We were eagerly awaiting the professional edited photos from our recent Boat Shed open day and boy, Weddings by Tom, did NOT disappoint. At the open day we really wanted to showcase the space and demonstrate how it could look for an event. We set up the space for a photo shoot back in March with a kitsch, colourful theme and this time I wanted something a little different. I still wanted the relaxed/rustic look because, lets face it, it…

It looked incredible; the festoon lighting, the neon, the giant light up PARTY letters, the bar, flowers, furniture, tableware… the cake! The music. It was a total dream. I’ll be…

Garden of England Bridal Shoot at The Secret Garden

Today we hand over to Lily Jones Events to tell us all about the inspiration behind this beautiful, quintessentially British bridal shoot at The Secret Garden in Kent… Kent, also known as the Garden of England, is definitely one of the most beautiful counties to get married in. With its rolling hills, beautiful coastline, bountiful orchards and hop gardens, Kent was named ‘The Garden of England’ by King Henry VIII and has kept true to its name to this day with its iconic oast houses and, most famously, growing the strawberries for Wimbledon tennis tournament every year.  With its beautiful…
