In issue 10 we printed a photo from this styled shoot – big and bold over a double page. It looks fab (you know I’m a sucker for iconic retro design elements!). I’m really pleased that today we’re able to share more images from the shoot. Southsea Hen Weekend

January 22, 2018 | News

I live in Southsea… and I LOVE living in Southsea, it’s the coolest place ever, a real hidden gem and I think it’s a marvellous place for a hen do. We don’t see lairy groups with L-plates and blow up penises very often which is a good thing in my book! Southsea is part of Portsmouth (but don’t let that put you off), we have a lovely beach, a beautiful harbour, lots of quirky independent cafes, restaurants and bars, plenty of creatives offering workshops and some interesting shops. If I was organising a hen weekend in Southsea (hint hint sister!)…

First Dance Waltz

January 20, 2018 | News

Today we bring you a lovely feature (and video!) about a couple determined to pull off a stunning first dance and wow their guests. Over to Laura from First Love Dance: When I met Tom and Anna in their home, they both had a really clear idea of the type of dance they wanted. They wanted to achieve a first dance that was romantic, elegant and traditional, and nothing could be more perfect to fit that description then a waltz. They had already chosen a beautiful song Backroads Redux Version by Lonely The Brave which worked really well. The pair had already tried to…

Party Time

January 16, 2018 | News

At the end of last year I threw a supplier party to celebrate 10 issues of the magazine. It was brilliant to see so many of my advertisers and supplier friends all under one roof. Everyone made such an effort; coming from afar, staying in hotels and going to town with their outfits. We’re all small businesses who spend plenty of time social networking but don’t get to see each other much, so it was a great excuse to dust off our heels and have a few glasses of fizz. Manic Stage Productions provided a fire dancer, Emma, who braved…

Watercress Line Bridal Shoot

All Aboard the Bridal Train…

January 14, 2018 | News

Today we’re delighted to share a beautiful styled shoot with you. It was organised by photographer Hana Laurie so over to Hana to tell you more: “I absolutely adore steam trains ever since I moved to a flat opposite the Watercress Line in Alton, and have been delighting in the whistles, huffs and puffs and waving at strangers ever since. It’s nostalgic in its smells and sounds, and the heritage teams at The Watercress Line have worked tirelessly to make sure it looks stunning too. What finer opportunity then to buy myself an all day train ticket on the business account…

Making a Feature of Wedding Speeches

January 12, 2018 | News

Today we’re featuring an old magazine article written for us by The Wedding Speech Guru. We initially featured it in issue 4 way back in 2014 and then we celebrated it in our special issue in 2016. It’s a brilliant, useful and timeless article. Show it to your dad, your groom and the best man. They will thank you (and us) when their speech goes down a storm… Over to Robin: Being at a picture perfect wedding often feels like being in a feature film. You have a stunning setting, a gorgeous leading lady, a dashing leading man and at…

Family Friendly Festival Fun

January 10, 2018 | News

Kathryn & James Pierce embraced the festival theme to celebrate their big day but not because it was ‘en trend’, simply because it suited them and their guests. With over 50 kids on the guest list they needed to make sure there was something to occupy them all day… football, photo booth, bouncy castle, face painting. We’re willing to bet those 50 kids slept well that night and had the best day EVER! “We are quiet creative / visual people and like to think a bit differently to others.” “Re the dress – I didn’t fancy anything too girly,…
