Freya & Matt – If the Shoe fits…

Celebrity shoe designer Freya Rose is based in our hometown of Southsea, Hampshire. She has recently launched ‘The Station at Freya Rose’ which is a one-stop-shop for occasions located at Freya Rose HQ. They’re stocking beautiful fashion brands as well as flowers and chocolates, and the best local hair stylists and make up artists are there to offer express services. The perfect solution if you’ve got a fancy event to go to…

Freya married lawyer Matt Archer this year at the picturesque St Hubert’s Church in Idsworth, one of the oldest churches in the country. Freya’s own grandfather had been the vicar there between 1950 and 1960. Their day was classic, elegant and full of sentimental touches…

The daytime look was minimal, chic and elegant, with a distinctly modern English-countryside feel.

Matt is the most genuine, kind and loyal person I’ve ever met. – Freya

A sprig of Honesty flower, taken from Freya’s grandmother’s garden and hand-painted in gold leaf, was used on name place cards and elegantly woven into Freya’s beautiful updo.

Freya carried a gorgeous bouquet of white sweet peas and peonies – inspired by her grandmother’s wedding bouquet but with a modern twist.

For the evening, the look was more relaxed with a focus on warm, golden tones that looked stunning in the evening light of the woods.

Freya had three luxurious pairs of bespoke wedding shoes she designed herself. Each pair was made to Freya’s own unique design, using exquisite materials such as polished brass, sterling silver and her signature mother of pearl.

Freya felt sure her father, who sadly passed away last year, was there with her during the ceremony.
