The classic nautical theme for a beach themed wedding. We love a bit of nautical, those navy blue and white stripes are just calling for us! There are so many ways in which you can wow your guests with this style of wedding. From little anchor props, to bespoke striped table runners, the options are endless. Table numbers are a great way to think outside the box and incorporate something different, the photo below features a stunning driftwood table number. Lighting is so important when it comes to a beach themed wedding. Take advantage of those lanterns, candles and all-important festoon lighting. There are many décor companies that offer lantern installation services along with festoon lighting, it’s a great way to set the mood in the evening and will work so well. Just imagine dancing under the stars, sipping your cocktail whilst you have a dance with your loved one!

There are so many locations to choose from when it comes to a beach themed wedding. It’s important to think about the backdrop you will get when your wedding photos are taken. You might also want to think about how visible your wedding will be to the general public who will see everything. Remember, you can’t get married on the beach due to UK regulations, however you could certainly have a celebrant bless the wedding with your guests watching.
Hire a Wedding Planner
Now without being biased, the logistics can be complex so hiring a wedding planner will make things a lot easier. They will know exactly what to expect, the do’s and don’ts, but also where to find the best locations for you to celebrate your wedding day. Many planners have lists of exclusive venues that can be used that aren’t even visible on a google search. Those treasured gems are just waiting to be found by you!
Now we all know the weather can be very temperamental in the UK, so when styling your beach themed wedding consider where it will be taking place. If you are having your wedding in a venue located close to the beach and using the beach as a simple backdrop for your photos then of course you will be covered over and weather won’t be an issue. If you are getting married outside with a celebrant, then think about hiring a small stretch tent to cover your guests in case of wet weather.
You have to check permissions with the local council if you can use the beach in this way. So make sure you do your research first.
