I make it my business to visit wedding fairs that fit with our ethos and style and Surrey Wed Fest is firmly in my diary. It’s organised by Sara Ellis and Emma Pentony. Sara runs To Have & To Hire which is a prop hire and styling business and Emma is a florist, her business is Wild & Green. They ran their first wedfest in Sussex last summer and it was a BIG hit. Sussex Wedfest will be back at Two Woods (amaaaaazing venue) in October but for now it’s all about Surrey Wedfest on Sunday 10th June! The concept is an alternative way for couples to organise their wedding. It’s a festival themed wedding fair based at the stunning Robert Denholm House.
With over 50 hand-picked exhibitors you’ll find everything you need from photographers to tipis, florists to wedding dresses. There are two catwalk shows and a pop-up bridal shop (who are offering a 10% discount if you book on the day). There will also be talks within the ‘inspiration tent’.
As with many festivals there will be a main stage with live music, lots of entertainment (we’ve heard there’s a silent disco!), bars and plenty of yummy food… and hopefully sunshine! (But if not, get your wellies on in true festival style).
I’ll be there early with copies of issue 11 and I’ll be having a good old nosey! I’m looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and some new ones like The Pac Van which is a pop-up gaming cinema! Such a great idea and one I’m sure will go down well with the boys while the girls contemplate dresses and flowers!
The event is from 12-4.30pm on Sunday 10th June. Tickets are £5 and must be booked in advance via Eventbrite www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/surrey-wed-fest-tickets-43406077747
See you there!
