Outdoor Wedding Fair

Margot’s Outdoor Extravaganza

May 24, 2019 | News

Seriously, where is this year going? How is it almost June? It doesn’t feel like long ago we were hosting our Sussex fair in January, and now our outdoor summer fair is just around the corner. If the date’s not already in your diary, get it out now and, in big bold pen, write MARGOT’S OUTDOOR EXTRAVAGANZA on 21st July. You will also want to zip over to Eventbrite and book your tickets fast because only the first 50 pre-booked brides get a nifty limited edition canvas bag filled with treats (including a copy of our special issue).

We’re hosting the fair with Kissing Gate Events at one of their lovely outdoor venues, Thornton Woods in Titchfield, Hampshire. Kissing Gate manage various outdoor sites, each chosen for their secluded, picturesque charm. They’re specialists in creating pop-up outdoor wedding venues. They have a traditional pole marquee, furniture, bell tents, horse box bar, horse box toilets, generator, hay bales, blankets, vintage china, festoon lighting, bunting etc. Tessa from Kissing Gate will be there on the day to talk through the different venue options (fields, woodland, luxury lakeside and a boutique retreat in Somerset), and to answer any questions you may have about hosting an outdoor event. Below are some images to give you a taste of what Kissing Gate Events are all about.

We’re praying for a dry sunny day on 21st July so we can show off the venue and everyone can enjoy themselves festival-stylie. Exhibitors will be inside and outside the marquee, the horsebox bar will be open (Pimms anyone?) and street food will be served. We’ve also got campervans, a caravan, live entertainment and workshops (workshops details will be released next month).

All below photos feature exhibitors you can expect to meet on the day…

It really is a great opportunity to get your friends and family together and get some wedding inspiration, whether you’re thinking about an outdoor or indoor wedding. As you can probably tell it’s going to be a relaxed affair so don’t worry, they’ll be no hard sell from any of our suppliers, just a chance for an informal chat and to check out unique ideas.

We’re hosting a live styled shoot on the day, which means we’ll have a model there in full bridal attire; dress, accessories, hair and make up. I’ll be working with the photographer (the lovely Kerry from Teddy Pig Photography) to direct the shoot. Visitors are welcome to watch the shoot as it unfolds and exhibitors are invited to take part (it’s a great opportunity to get professional images).

We have limited exhibition spaces still available (we’re full for bars and photography) so, if you’re interested in joining us, please get in touch. helen@margotswedding.co.uk
