You know that feeling when you put a date in your diary and it feels like ages away and then suddenly… it’s next weekend! That’s right folks, Margot’s Wedding Fair at the Worthing Dome is NEXT SUNDAY and I can think of little else.
This is my first solo fair (having previously organised The Wonderous Wedding Fair in Portsmouth with The Vintage Parade) but I have a long-standing relationship with The Dome. It’s SUCH an amazing, iconic venue right on the beach, opposite the pier, smack bang in town. It’s a separate business but the stunning Edwardian cinema downstairs is quite the feature and the Dome run the Vintage Tearoom next door which is something very special indeed – super authentic and full of nostalgic memorabilia. There are basically lots of photo opportunities before you even step into the event space!

Join us for the wedding fair where 20 exhibitors will be boasting their big-day wares. We have everything from dresses, to flowers, to photo booths, transport, decor, DJs and more! Exhibitors have been hand-picked to go with our brand; cool, creative and unique.
If you have your wedding at the Dome, your ceremony can take place either in the Whispering Gallery or the Main Lounge. The Whispering Gallery is in the iconic Dome at the top of the building and has panoramic views (reaching as far as The Seven Sisters). Events by Design are our stylists on the day so make sure you visit Sally upstairs in the Atrium Bar where she can show you how stunning the space is and how she can dress it for you. Also see Marsha from Quirky Chair Covers who hires the most adorable mismatching covers to really add colour to your ceremony and reception. Her fabrics range from vintage florals to pink candy stripes…

We have live entertainment throughout the day from Melissa and Reece (acoustic jazz and soul duo) and Marianne Wedding Singer. Brian Mole DJ will be treating us to background music in between (how fab is his VW DJ booth?).
Two workshops are taking place in the bar (which adjoins the main lounge). We have a faux calligraphy workshop with Grey & Copper; learn how to write beautifully without any special equipment. Perfect for those invitations and envelopes! Katia will have space for seven people to join her on a drop-in basis from 11-12.30 and from 1.30-3pm. We also have a flower crown workshop with Holly Florist. A lovely opportunity to create a fresh flower crown with your girlies! (And the perfect prop for photo booth posing afterwards). There are four x 45 minute workshops throughout the day and they’re available to book here via Eventbrite. Both workshops are free but spaces are limited.
Entry is free and bridal bags will be given out on the door to those who pre-register. Bags include copies of Margot’s Wedding as well as Your Sussex Wedding magazine.
It’s going to be such a great day! Bring your partner, your friends, your family… why not make a day of it? There’s plenty of inspiration and you can have lunch/cocktails in the vintage tearoom. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for glorious sunshine!
