Raw & Romantic Styled Bridal Shoot

August 27, 2018 | News

We’ve now released our cover for issue 12! What do you think? I’m in love with it… The cover usually gets left until last and I sit for hours and hours trawling Instagram looking for the perfect image. Since our rebrand and name change I’ve decided I’ll just be using an image of a bride on the cover. i.e. rather than a couple. My only criteria is that she looks like a Margot! This image sums up what ‘being Margot’ is all about; cool, confident, stylish, arty.

Issue 12 cover

The image is from a shoot organised by Louise from One Stylish Day and photographed by the brilliant Agnes Black. It took place at the breathtaking Garthmyl Hall in the Welsh countryside and some incredibly talented industry folk collaborated to bring the mood board to life.

Garthmyl Hall is a hidden gem with sunning rooms, picturesque secret garden and a little white stone-washed house; perfect for intimate gatherings. The romantic shoot features blush candles in copper stands, cutlery to match, cut glass glasses, hand-died ribbons, silk and linen flowing perfectly to create that dreamy look.

The gorgeous selection of dresses are from the beautiful E&W Couture. Tulle and silk skirts were paired with gorgeous little camisoles and a delicate cashmere sweater from Boden. The blush and mocha shoes were from Emmy London. The embellished feather detail on the shoes went perfectly with the elegant theme.

Chloe Robinson Designs created floristry perfection; beautiful blossom-budded branches and grey textured urns for the tables, overflowing with blush roses, anemones, and blossoms. Plenty of foliage created a beautiful loose and flowing display.

The cake, lollipops, shortbread and marshmallows were from Marie Antoinette Cakes. The bottom layer of the cake was a cement effect, the middle a soft blush with hand-drawn calligraphy and the top was layered with hand-crafted sugar flowers. The Marshmallows were soft and fluffy, and an array of flavours, and the lollipops each made with pretty little petals were so cool.

By Moon and Tide Calligraphy created the invitation suite using a beautifully textured banana leaf paper and hand-drawn calligraphy in a deep pink ink.

MUA Emily (on behalf of the award-winning Sonara Parker makeup) created a soft, dewy and delicate look on the models. The stunning hairstyles featured soft curls, beach waves, a voluminous pony tail and a gorgeous low bun.

We think they nailed the graceful, sophisticated and feminine theme! And we’re delighted to feature an image from this shoot on our issue 12 cover.
