This is a quick one as I need to wrap up work and prepare myself for half term away in Cornwall. And shock horror the weather forecast looks good! This means I need to go into crisis mode with fake tan, nail varnish and trying on my whole summer wardrobe in the vain hope something might still fit…
And talking of good weather and good times, it’s The Nostalgia Show next month. How can I shoehorn this onto a wedding blog? I know… gather your pals and make a weekend of it for a hen/stag do? Or a hen/stag do that was missed last year? I don’t know but I’m sure you can think of all sorts to celebrate belatedly after the last 14 months.
The Nostalgia Show takes place at Stansted Park in Hampshire and is run by my good pal Alex Cvijovic who also runs The Wonderous Wedding Fair. I will be at the event running the bars for her all weekend. So come and see me for a cold glass of something and a chat.
Whimsical charm and British eccentricity
It’s the weekend after restrictions lift (we can’t entertain the thought anything might jeopardise this epic event at this stage) and boy do we all need to let our hair down. We need to plan hair, make-up and outfits with careful precision (after a year in tracky bs). We need to gather all our fun-loving friends and make the most of this quintessentially British weekend. We need to eat, drink, dance and be merry. We need to go shopping in the Best of British marquee and we need to marvel at the authentic vehicles in the vintage caravanning area. We need to pull out the big guns and put our best foot forward in the egg and spoon race on the village green.
Bring your baked goods to be judged by the WI
Kids and grown ups love it so… the happy taste of The Nostalgia Show! (I came up with that myself and voice noted it to Alex earlier. Well, I guess some credit should go to Haribo).
All sound good? Get your diary out and mark 25th-27th June firmly IN.
Visit the website for more information, to view camping details, to see the line up and to book tickets.
All photos are by the brilliant Kaz of Confetti Coast (who also does weddings! See I knew I could shoehorn weddings into this fun summery, festival-y post).
Have a great half term y’all!
